Need a place to visit next to Disneyland or Downtown Disney?
This place is a must! It’s definitely the perfect kid friendly hotel that I highly recommend when visiting Disney parks. The staff was friendly and answered any questions I had when visiting. We only stayed one night and it was such a nice getaway.
We arrived around 3pm and they allowed us to check in early & we had reservations for the Castaway Cove. The kids had a blast there and didn’t want to leave! We tried entering the pool around 4pm, but the pool hit capacity so be aware of that! We went back to Castaway Cove and enjoyed the rest of the time there until our time slot ended.
We changed and walked to Downtown Disney for dinner. The walk wasn’t bad at all and took about 10 minutes to get there. While we waited to enter Black Tap I took Alex to buy a Jurassic World Lego set as an early birthday gift. The lego store was just across from the restaurant we were going to eat at.
We entered Black Tap within 20 minutes, and boy was their food delicious!!! We enjoyed everything. I ordered the All American burger with a chocolate shake. We left with our bellies full of yumminess!
Once we got back to the room we ended up going night swimming and it was so nice. We called the front desk to see if there were any openings for Castaway Cove, it was around 8:30pm at the time and sure enough we got in! We were even able to see the Disneyland fireworks from where we were at! We stayed until closing and were the last ones there! I’m telling you this water playground was the kids favorite.
We weren’t able to visit the parks since the boys were blocked, but I cannot stress how much fun it was just to stay there for one night. The next morning we called to check reservations for the Castaway Cove again & we spend about 1.5 hours there until we headed back home. The kids can’t wait to come back and enjoy this hotel.
