We spent a beautiful Sunday morning here at the Flower Fields in Carlsbad, CA. It was absolutely breathtaking!

Now, you may think, what’s there to even do besides take photos & looking at flowers. I was shocked at how much there was to do! I was worried the kids would get fussy, but boy was I wrong! I’m about 1.5 hours away and left around 7AM. The kids napped on the way there. Once we arrived around 8:40AM we ate light from snacks I packed & entered. Our wagon ride was at 9AM. Here’s the part where I may have messed up. I didn’t bring the stroller in because I thought, oh I will just get it after the wagon ride. Please take your stroller! As we rode the wagon we got off at the stop and walked our way back to take photos along the way. Briella was very clingy to me that day wanting me to hold her almost the entire time! My arms definitely got a good workout!
Here are some great photo opportunities to take while walking back to the main gardens.

Things to do!
When we arrived at the Flower Fields they gave us passport booklets for the kids to complete. Once they complete it they get $1 off their Mining Experience. The following is what we did in order after our wagon ride.
Sweet Pea Maze
Here is a neat Maze activity which my kids enjoyed doing! It was actually challenging for them.

Santa’s Playground
I didn’t catch a photo of this playground, but it absolutely the cutest! Very colorful & a great spot for the parents to take a break and watch the kiddos have a great time.

Butterfly Garden

Here is a beautiful garden with colorful butterfly benches to take photos or simply to enjoy the scenery. We did grab some lemonade and popcorn since we were starting to get hungry. They were delicious by the way!
Don Miller’s Garden

This garden is absolutely beautiful. Such great photo opportunities as well!
Carlsbad Mining Company

My kids loved this part! Once we completed the passport you can get $1 off your mining activity which is $4 regular price. They were so excited to see what gemstones they got.
Overall, we had such a great time & we stay until around 1PM. It’s such a beautiful place to visit.
We ended the day & headed over to the nearest beach. It was literally across the street.
